1 Flexible Families Intern; open to 2nd year students only (15-20 hours per week)

Adoption Options is an inclusive, non-profit adoption agency dedicated to enriching the lives of children, youth, and families. We provide education, placement services, counseling, and support for all members of the adoption community. The staff and Board of Directors at Adoption Options is actively working as a team to uphold the company's stated values of Integrity, Compassion, Respect, Inclusion, Education, and Professionalism in all aspects of the organization.
Adoption Options is an inclusive, non-religiously affiliated, non-profit agency working with clients throughout our community of all ages, religions, ethnic and racial backgrounds, marital/relationship statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities/expressions, and abilities. Adoption Options is committed to supporting youth, families, and expecting and birth parents through their journey towards permanency, stability, and family according to their individual needs and wishes. In 2012, Adoption Options was the first agency in Colorado to earn the “Seal of Recognition” from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s All Children All Families. In 2020 we earned the "Innovator Badge" as a sign of our continued commitment to inclusivity and learning through the Human Rights Campaign. We offer internships with our agency within the Flexible Families and Fostering Healthy Futures programs working with our programs team.
All students who apply for the internship will be selected through an interview process with the Clinical Supervisor and Task Supervisor. Some additional training may be required prior to beginning the internship. Paperwork required once selected for the internship is CBI/FBI fingerprint clearance, Trails form, and agency paperwork to include confidentiality form, etc.

- Supporting case management of families placed with youth from foster care
- Includes SAFE home study assessments of foster-to-adopt families
- Opportunities for team meetings and other work within the foster care system
- 9am-5pm with occasional evenings or weekend
