Position: Fostering Healthy Futures Program Coordinator & Group Supervisor
Reports To: Senior Director of Programs
Posted Salary Range: $22.59-$26.44/hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 32-40 hours/week
Retention Bonus: Up to 2 $500 retention bonuses for a possible total of $1,000. The first upon the successful completion of 90 days, and the second upon the successful completion of 120 days of employment as determined by the Senior Director of Programs and Executive Director.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the Fostering Healthy Futures (FHF) Program Coordinator and Group Supervisor role provides leadership and a variety of advanced administrative functions that support critical FHF program services. The FHF Program Coordinator and Group Supervisor is responsible for managing daily program operations, youth enrollment, support for between 8-10 graduate student interns who serve as program mentors, and is accountable for managing all aspects of recruitment and training for graduate student interns. This role is also responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of the Fostering Healthy Futures groups including but not limited to; training co-leaders, facilitating 2 weekly skills groups with youth, managing volunteers, supporting the program intake/referral process, and supporting mentors, youth, and families. The FHF Program Coordinator and Group Supervisor must maintain up-to-date situational awareness of all youth and graduate level mentors participating in the program and will involve the Senior Director of Programs and Executive Director as appropriate.

​Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Lutheran Family Services FHF team to coordinate intakes and referrals, schedule and provide joint seminars, and trainings when appropriate, as well as providing seamless service between agencies and county partners
  • Attend training, consultations, and supervision meetings on the Fostering Healthy Futures program as directed
  • Conduct enrollment visits with youth and families prior to groups starting
  • Co-facilitate a 3-day orientation for incoming mentors and skills group co-leaders and provide any additional training for all graduate student interns
  • Manage details in coordination with the Intern Supervisor for weekly group seminar meetings
  • Coordinate special mentoring events (i.e. Career Shadows and Field Day)
  • Conduct ongoing outreach to graduate programs; cultivate intern applicant interest and screening; conduct prospective intern/mentor interviews
  • Coordinate program evaluations and reporting
  • Have a working knowledge of skills group curriculum
  • Work closely with FHF dissemination team to maintain fidelity, complete fidelity reports, and provide videos and other documentation for fidelity monitoring
  • Prepare for and lead 2 skills groups with 8 youth per group each week for 30 weeks during the academic year
  • Provide training and task supervision for two graduate student group co-leaders
  • Coordinate 2-3 Group Volunteers (who arrange food for meetings, set up/tear down)
  • Coordinate special group night events as directed
  • Communicate consistently and work collaboratively with Adoption Options Senior Director of Programs to ensure the ongoing success of the Fostering Healthy Futures program, and the youth that the program serves.
  • Have a working knowledge of and review skills group curriculum with group co-leads
  • Attend meetings (e.g. IEPs, clinical planning, staffings) regarding children/families and serve as a liaison/support for program youth with caseworkers, therapists, and school personnel as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively to address clinical challenges and coordinate program logistics
  • Provide case management to ensure children’s needs are met, especially for urgent/acute clinical matters and/or when hotline reporting may be necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date and thorough client files and notes on the youth/families in the program
  • Complete required paperwork to be compliant with payee contracts
  • Work independently and within a team on special non-recurring projects as assigned by the  Senior Director of Programs. These activities may require attending Adoption Options agency meetings or events, assisting co-workers, planning, scheduling and communicating progress both verbally and in writing.

Position Requirements

The position requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Masters degree in Behavioral Health with at least 2 years experience in the field required
  • Two years experience with program management, program implementation, and supervision required
  • A solid understanding, experience with, and appreciation of implementing evidence-based programs
  • Experience with children who have emotional and behavioral challenges and/or children who have experienced child maltreatment/child welfare involvement
  • Experience leading groups with children
  • Knowledge of, and be comfortable with, delivering manualized curricula in an engaging way
  • The position requires evening work (2-3 evenings a week), occasional on-call availability when crisis arises in the field, and limited weekend work
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal, presentation, time management, organizational skills, and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Colorado’s Volume 7 Rules & Regulations
  • An analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for evaluation and to find solutions to a variety of client and agency related situations
  • Participate in Strategic Planning for future program growth as directed
  • Consistently demonstrate an ability to respond to changing situations, flexibility, and responsiveness in order to meet the changing needs of this new program, excellent time management and reprioritization of work
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to responsibilities
  • Display a willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment, support and explain rationale for decisions, include appropriate individuals in decision-making process and make decisions in a timely fashion
  • Meet the attendance requirements of the job, including weekends and evenings as directed
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and possess a valid unrestricted drivers’ license and must have proof of 100/300/100 current car insurance on any vehicles driven for the agency as frequent local travel will be required, overnight travel possible
  • Work within approved budgets as established by the Executive Director

  • Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching and prolonged periods of sitting

  • Required to work extended periods of time at a video display terminal with ongoing keyboard data entry
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate a motor vehicle
  • Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
 
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has task supervisory responsibilities of graduate interns for the Fostering Healthy Futures program.

This position is eligible for participation in Adoption Options Telecommuting program.
