Carol Lawson - Executive Director/Placement Supervisor
Carol has been with the agency since 1993, having relocated from England to take up the position of Executive Director. A social worker for over 30 years, she has extensive experience in England and the USA in adoption, foster care, child protection and family and children's issues, as well as many years in the management field. She has the British equivalent of a Masters in Social Work and a Diploma in Child Care Law and Practice.

Adrienne Elliott - Assistant Director / Placement Supervisor
Adrienne has over twenty years experience as a social worker. She received her bachelor's degree in Child Development from Purdue University and Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver . She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2000. She previously worked for 8 years with a county department of social services; five of those years were as the Adoption Supervisor. She currently supervises all caseworkers in the agency.

Marianne Anderson - Placement Supervisor - Foster Care
Marianne has been involved with the agency for many years, initially as a placement supervisor and after the birth of her two sons and a spell in California , Marianne returned in 2002 to become a supervisor for foster care and cradle care.

Rhealene Plumleigh - Birthparent Counselor / Adoption Caseworker
Rhealene has worked part-time for the agency since 1991, counseling with both birthparents and adoptive parents. Based in Grand junction , Rhealene covers much of the Western Slope. She has a BA in Psychology and extensive experience working with abused women, as well as adoption.

Jeni Lucero - Birthparent Counselor
Jeni joined Adoption Options in August 2006. She has a BA in Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado and has experience with adoption both professionally and personally.

Allison Villarreal - Birthparent Counselor
Allison moved to Denver after relocation from San Francisco . A native of Connecticut , she has earned a Master's Degree in counseling and has many years experience as a counselor for adolescents and young adults.

Shirley Player - Controller
Shirley has been employed at the agency since November 1986 She has a teaching certificate from Canada and an Associates Degree in Accounting. Previously she worked as a teacher in Canada before relocating to the states many years ago.

Leslie Dezendorf - Adoptive Family Caseworker/Birthparent Counselor
Leslie has a Master's Degree in counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. The majority of her experience has included working with families, adolescents and children providing individual, family and play therapy. She has lived in Durango , CO for the past 25 years. Leslie is looking forward to working with families through the adoption process and feels fortunate to have this opportunity.

Erin Sullivan -Development Officer/Volunteer Coordinator
Erin first came to Adoption Options as an adoptive mom. In 2004, she joined the staff as the Volunteer Coordinator. Erin has many years experience in non-profit management in the arts having served both as executive director and on various boards of directors. Erin received her Bachelor's Degree in studio art and Master's Degree in business administration. Previous to working in the non-profit sector she taught art to little children.

Bob Franklin
Bob joined Adoption Options in August 2006. He graduated with a BA in Sociology and Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Bob has extensive experience in the field of child protection, having worked for Adams County , Colorado for over 18 years, the last 14 years as a Child Protection Intake Supervisor.

Anna Padden -
Adoption Caseworker/Birthparent Counselor
Anna has lived half her life in Colorado and the other half in Hawaii where she grew up. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Colorado State University . After earning her undergraduate degree most of Anna's experience came from working with women and children escaping domestic violence as a victims' advocate. Anna traveled and worked abroad for some time and then decided to pursue further education. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver . After completing an Internship at Adoption Options Anna is now an employee and anticipates a long career in the adoption field.

Lori Devlyn - Adoption Caseworker
Lori first came to Adoption Options in 1995 as an intern. She obtained her MSW from the University of Denver . Upon graduating she remained working part-time at Adoption Options as a Family Caseworker until 2001. After taking some time off to be home with family, Lori has returned as a part-time Adoption Caseworker.

Gwen Eller - Birthparent counselor
Gwen is a newcomer to Adoption Options. She has a bachelor's degree from Mesa State College in psychology and a master's degree in counseling from Regis University . Gwen will be working in the Grand Junction office and covering the Western Slope. She has lived in Grand Junction for sixteen years. Gwen has over fifteen years experience working with adolescents, adults and families in a variety of human service fields ranging from developmental disabilities to mental health.

Katie Cicero - Adoption Caseworker/Birthparent Counselor
Katie has over ten years experience as a social worker. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver . She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2004. She previously worked for six and a half years with a county department of social services all in the adoption unit. She currently is an adoption caseworker and birth parent counselor for northern Colorado.
